Manual Installation via Marketplace​

If you prefer to install through the monday.com Apps Marketplace, follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the monday.com Apps Marketplace​

  • Log in to your monday.com account.
  • Click on the Apps Marketplace icon located in the top-right corner.
  • Use the search bar within the marketplace to find Subitem Template Builder.

Step 2: Install Subitem Template Builder​

  • Locate Subitem Template Builder by Leno Apps in the search results.
  • Click the Install App button.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to review and approve the required permissions.

Permissions Explained​

Subitem Template Builder requires the following permissions to function properly:

Required Permissions​

  • Read all of your boards data:

    • Purpose: Access board structure and existing subitems.
    • Usage: Read board columns and existing subitem data to create templates from existing subitems and validate template compatibility with board structure.

  • Modify any of your boards' data:

    • Purpose: Create subitems from templates.
    • Usage: Create new subitems with template data and add missing columns when needed during template application.

  • Read your profile information:

    • Purpose: Identify template creators.
    • Usage: Track who created each template to enable permission controls and template ownership features.

  • Read the profile information of the users in your account:

    • Purpose: Enable template sharing.
    • Usage: Access team member information to allow sharing templates with specific people and display user names in permission settings.
